
Pavle Janković (MA) is the Head of Political Department of the Regional Cooperation Council, based in Sarajevo since July 2025. From 2012, he served as the Head of Department for Regional Initiatives, MFA of Serbia, where he worked on advancing regional cooperation, reconciliation, development and EU integration. Earlier, Mr. Janković was chargé d’affaires and Deputy Ambassador of Serbia to France (2008-2012), founder and President of the International and Security Affairs Centre (ISAC Fund) (2006-2008), Assistant Minister for Defence Policy in the Ministry of Defence (MOD) of Serbia and Montenegro (2004-2005), and National Security Advisor to Speaker of Serbia’s Parliament (in 2004). His previous posts include work in think-tanks, academia, and international organizations including ASB, IOM, OSCE, US Peace Corps as well as in the private sector since 1993. Mr. Janković holds a BA (Honours) from Schiller International University in International Relations and Diplomacy and an MA (Distinctions) from Lancaster University in International Relations and Strategic Studies. Mr. Janković is active in the field of international affairs in matters of diplomacy, regional cooperation, security and negotiations, and since May 2012 holds membership of the Ordre national du Mérite of the French Republic in the degree of Commandeur.
