
Diana Deputat specialises in human rights protection at international and national levels, the rights of refugees and internally displaced persons, and international humanitarian and criminal law. She has a particular interest in the prosecution of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Western Balkans, and in the European integration of Ukraine and the Western Balkan countries. Diana participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and was a finalist twice in mediation tournaments organised by the International Academy of Dispute Resolution in Bologna and Chicago. She also took part in numerous legal schools, courses, seminars and conferences organised by the OSCE, the UC Department of Commerce, the UC Berkeley School of Law, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation Turkey Office, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the CEELI Institute. Diana holds a Master’s degree from both the Central European University in Vienna and the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
