
Omid Memarian, with more than two decades of experience in journalism and advocacy, focuses on U.S. foreign policy, international law, and human rights. Over the past five years, he has engaged policymakers, academics, and former officials in examining the shortcomings of U.S. policy and its impact on regional stability and global governance. He has contributed to initiatives advancing international accountability and the enforcement of U.S. laws in cases where violations have fueled instability and conflict. He testified before the U.S. Senate on freedom of speech, and his writings have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Foreign Affairs, The Daily Beast, Politico, and other outlets. He earned his Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies and Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, and is currently Senior Iran Analyst and Communications Director at DAWN, a Washington-based group focused on reforming U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East.
