
Snežana Jakovljević is one of the establishers and initiator of Women’s Association Peščanik. She is a co-delegate for Serbia in the Advisory Board of the European Women’s Network against Violence against Women 2024-2025; the delegate in the same body in the period 2022-2024. Snežana was also a Member of the Managing Board of the National European Women’s Lobby, 2024-2025, and a Representative of the WA Peščanik in the City of Kruševac Gender Equality Council, 2020 – 2024. Snežana is an author and coordinator of several projects, e.g. “Women for peace and security – towards the normalisation and good-neighborly relations between Kosovo and Serbia” (2020 – 2023 – European Union), “Women’s Information and Education Center”, 2015-2025 OAK Foundation, and more. She has also participated in the development of the National Strategy for the Improvement of Women’s rights and Gender Equality (2009 – 2015), working group Women and Media. Snežana is a trainer in the field of women’s rights and gender equality, women’s political participation, media picture of women, and a Member of the informal coalition of women’s rights activists from the Western Balkans for advancing the gender equality agenda within EU Integration processes. She is active in the national women’s networks: Network of women against violence, Network of Women in Black, as well as local Network of Women in the Rasina District.
