Dr Rob Dixon is currently Director, International Affairs in the UK’s National Security Secretariat. Based in the Cabinet Office, Rob is responsible for coordinating UK foreign policy priorities across Europe, on Euro-Atlantic security, including the UK’s Five Eyes partners. Rob was previously UK Ambassador to Bulgaria, 2020-24, Deputy Ambassador to Israel, and Principal Private Secretary to the UK’s first two National Security Advisers. He has separately served at the UK Missions to the UN in Geneva and in New York, led UK policy on West and North Africa. He holds a PhD in International Relations, from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.
