Boris Mijatovic

Member of the German Bundestag

Boris Mijatovic is currently Member of the German Bundestag. From 1996 to 2001, he studied political science and economics at the University of Kassel and the Université de Nice Sophia-Antipolis, majoring in international relations and applied statistics. He worked at the international textile trading company VF Germany in Frankfurt/M. until 2004, before starting an internship at the International Criminal Court in The Hague in 2005 and subsequently working freelance on projects in the field of international criminal law and war victims research for the ICTY and the OSCE. Before being elected as a member of the Bundestag himself in 2021, Boris Mijatovic worked as a political advisor to former Bundestag member Nicole Maisch and, until 2021, to MEP Martin Häusling. He also took on several party posts: he was green parliamentary group leader in Kassel city hall, and he served as city councilor for integration and sports, and for youth policy and participation. He was also district chairman of the Kassel green party and a member of the state executive committee
