Nils Muiznieks is the Director of the Europe Regional Office at Amnesty International. He is a political scientist and human rights expert with more than 25 years of professional experience in intergovernmental organizations, government, academia, consulting, and civil society. He was the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights – Europe’s top human rights official – from 2012 to 2018.
