Karolina Leaković

Karolina Leaković serves as Social Democratic Party of Croatia International Secretary since December 2020, having previously held that position from 2008 to 2016. She graduated from Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb and Academy for Dramatic Arts and is currently pursuing PhD in sociology at Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. Karolina is alumna of School of Transnational Governance, European University Institute, Florence, Italy (Policy Leader Fellowship 2022/2023). Prior to that she spent 10 months on a Fulbright Pre-Doctoral Scholarship at Arizona State University, Phoenix, AZ, USA. Karolina was a member of Croatian Parliament and held various positions within SDP (women’s organization leader included). Her interests now are mainly focused on media production, labour relations and just global governance.
