Velina Tchakarova

With over 25 years of professional and academic expertise in security and defence, Velina Tchakarova has established herself as a preeminent expert in geopolitics. Serving as a geopolitical strategist at her consultancy company FACE For A Conscious Experience, Tchakarova capitalizes on her extensive network and hands-on experience to devise customised solutions that enable clients to navigate the intricate landscape of geopolitics adeptly. Presently, she enriches the Scientific Advisory Board of the European Alpbach Forum and the Advisory Board of Eastern Circles with her insights and teaches a course in Theories of International Relations at the Sigmund Freud University Vienna. Additionally, she is a visiting fellow at the Observer Research Foundation, and she participates in the Security and Strategy Board of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defence’s Science Commission. Her previous jobs include the Director of the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy (AIES) in Vienna and lecturer at the Real-World Risk Institute.
