Jovana Spremo

Jovana Spremo works as Advocacy Director at the Lawyers’ Committee for Human Rights YUCOM. She is the coordinator of the Working Group for Chapter 23 of the National Convention on European Union. Her expertise is in the domain of rule of law, with a special focus on the EU negotiation process, mainly covering topics related to judiciary and human rights. She also covers topics of protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms, as well as transitional justice and reconciliation. She is engaged in monitoring the normalization process between Serbia and Kosovo, with a focus on access to justice. Jovana is an alumna of several international and regional programmes, including the State Department International Visitor Leadership Program and she is selected as Friend of Europe European Young Leader (EYL40), class 2024.  She has written several publications and reports on different topics tackling rule of law and human rights.
