Maja Stojanović

Maja Stojanović is a long-standing human rights activist and the Executive Director of Civic Initiatives, a Serbian organisation supporting activists and advancing an enabling environment for civic participation. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Human Rights House Belgrade and as Vice-Chair of the Balkan Civil Society Development Network. With over twenty-three years of experience in the civil sector, Ms. Stojanović began her activism in the Students’ Union of Serbia and has since worked extensively on issues of human rights, transitional justice, and civic engagement. She has played leading roles in numerous regional and international initiatives aimed at strengthening democracy, accountability, and citizen participation across the Western Balkans.
