Mirjana Lazarova Trajkovska, PhD in Law, is a Judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of North Macedonia since March 2020. She was Judge at the European Court of Human Rights (2008-2017), President of the First Section of the European Court of Human Rights (2015-2017), Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia (2003-2008), Head of the Department on Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2001-2003), President of the State Election Commission of the Republic of Macedonia (2002-2003). Visiting lecturer of Human Rights at the Renmin University of China in Beijing (2018), at the Faculty of Law at the Birmingham University UK (2018), and Faculty of Law at the Catholic University in Lille, France (2019). She was a Member of the European Commission on Democracy true Law-Venice Commission (2003-2008), Deputy Chair of Council of Democratic Elections, Member of Steering Committee on Human Rights at the Council of Europe (2001-2003); and more.
