Sonja Stojanović Gajić

Dr. Sonja Stojanović Gajić brings over 20 years of experience bridging security, conflict transformation, and the challenges facing democracies across Europe. As former Director of the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (2006–2019), she led its rise into one of Europe’s leading think tanks on democratic oversight of security institutions. She is now a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies South East Europe, University of Rijeka, researching geopolitical competition and autocratisation in the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership. As an organisational consultant, Sonja helps leaders, teams, and public institutions plan strategically, build resilience, and navigate complexity.
