Thijs Reuten

Thijs Reuten is a Dutch Member of the European Parliament in the S&D group, elected on the list of GroenLinks-PvdA. Thijs works mostly on foreign policy, defence and security and constitutional affairs. He is among many responsibilities S&D’s spokesperson on Ukraine, rapporteur for the EU-UK relationship on foreign affairs and security and also strongly involved with all south east European candidate countries and Moldova. Previously he worked for Amsterdam based GRI, was district alderman in Amsterdam’s East district and member of the Amsterdam City Council. Thijs holds a master’s degree in International Relations.
