Tvrtko Jakovina

Tenured professor, Department of History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb

Tvrtko Jakovina is tenured professor and former head of the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, and guest-lecturer at Istituto per l’Europa centro-orientale e balcanica, University of Bologna He is the author of several books including “The Third Side of The Cold War” /Treća strana Hladnog rata/ (2011), “Budimir Lončar. From Preko to the Top of the World” (2020), as well as many articles dealing with the foreign policy of Tito’s Yugoslavia and Croatian history in 20th century. He is secretary of the Croatian Fulbright Alumini Association. He obtained his MA in American Studies at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium and his Ph.D. from the University of Zagreb (in 2002). Jakovina was a Fulbright Visiting Researcher at Georgetown University and a research visiting fellow at the London School of Economics.
