Zuzanna Sielska

Researcher at Institute of Central and Eastern Europe, the Three Seas Foundation

Zuzanna Sielska is a Researcher at Institute of Central and Eastern Europe, the Three Seas Foundation. Her research are focuses on conflicts, identity questions, disinformation, the impact of technology on societies, and international relations in the Balkans and Central and Eastern Europe. For over a decade, she has conducted research on social capital in the context of ethnic and political conflicts, with particular focus on the Balkans. Her work has addressed the emotional legacy of conflict, mechanisms of disinformation, and forms of grassroots organisation in post-conflict settings. Since 2023, she has been developing a new line of research on the influence of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, on global politics and society. Her current focus includes the geopolitical and ideological dimensions of technological development, with particular interest in how social and equality-related values are encoded in AI models across different cultural contexts. Zuzanna has PhD in Political Science.
