Christal Morehouse

Christal Morehouse joined the Open Society Foundations in November 2015. Within Open Society Foundation’s Europe and Central Asia Program (ECA), she is Senior Program Officer in the Strategy and Strategic Outreach Pillar. From 2006 to 2015 Christal served as Senior Project Manager at the Bertelsmann Foundation in Germany, Brussels and Washington DC. During her over eight years at the organization, she conducted policy analysis and published on international higher education, talent, entrepreneurship, migration and integration. In 2006 she was the Head of Office for Prof. Dr. Rita Süssmuth, the former President of the German Bundestag. Prior to that she was Research Analyst for the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, where she worked on the government-commissioned report on migration reform in Germany. Dr. Morehouse completed her PhD in political science at the Humboldt University in Berlin in 2008.
